May - WALLEYE and Trout

We have been on the water continually this past month with all the great fishing and versatility that Henderson Harbor has become so famous for.

Trout

With the longer and colder winter we had the trout fishing has remained good “on top” of the deeper water areas. We have been fishing the top 1- 20 feet of water over 70 – 100 feet (depth) using both planner boards and riggers. We have been getting a mixed bag of both Lakers, browns, and occasional steelhead. Has some great outings with friends from PA and New Hampshire. Thank you to Lots a Limits lodger for the referrals.

Walleye

Have been in both the Chaumont and Black River Bay areas. Stick baits in both areas behind in-line planner boards have been producing the best. We have had some real impressive catches of truly trophy WALLEYE.

We still have dates available in June so please give us a call!

WALLEYE - Week Two!

This last week we have been plying the back bays in search of Walleyes. With all the nice weather…sunny skies…calm water….and temps in the 80’s…it’s made for a tough bite honestly. But we have still been able to get a few nice trophy size Walleyes, plus some nice pike and pickerel. Trout fishing around the High Rocks has been picking up steadily as well too.

Brown Trout and the Walleye OPENER

All efforts this weekend were for the Walleye that makes Henderson the port to fish out of for Trophy Class Walleye….This last weekend I took some great customers out both Saturday and Sunday. We were able to get a few to the boat. Thanks to Joe and his grandson Conner!

Extreme winter has made the water temperatures for this time of the year extremely cold. The brown trout fishing has remained good! Adam shows off a brown going 14 lbs.

And of course do not forget the ladies…..Jolie with a Walleye well over 10 lbs.

Give us a call. With all this cold water I think the shallow water browns and Walleyes could be with us for a few more months!

September 13 & 14, 2014 - Salmon

Fishing remains strong in the eastern basin. Fish are still staging and things are running late. The guys in the river are not catching lot of fish. They are just not there.....which makes it better for the lake fisherman.

And please remember...no bananas! :)

September Salmon Report... So Far

Currently I think the run is a week or two behind schedule from where it should be. We have been having a lot of action throughout the day. Recently it would almost seem Mid Day to be the best. A LOT of silver colored salmon are being caught STILL......and Mike McMannus's favorite....lakers!! Here's some pics of some of the great customers we have taken out recently.

August Salmon Report

The bite is on! After being delayed the fish are just now starting to stage in and around the Henderson Harbor area. The trout fishing has remained solid as well. Fish are in the trench area, as well as off the lighthouse. Flasher fly combos off the riggers and on divers are working great.

I STILL HAVE DATES OPEN so give me a call!!

Lots A Trout and Salmon!

Worked with a good friend Tim Meador who owns the Lots A Limits Lodge and Guide Service. I had these guys for three days last week and we had some absolutely spectacular weather. Fishing was not too bad either. Went out to the shipping lanes off Galloo Island. Had a lot of hooks ups with Mr. King Salmon....got spanked a few times...but we had fun and event manged to boat a few. GREAT GREAT Group of guys.

Call for some great dates still open.

August 3, 2014 - Kline Party

Great day and nice kings and trout.

Fish are off the lighthouse in 90 - 150 feet of water.  Flasher and flys as well as spoons are working.  Speed 2.2 - 2.5 knots.

July 20, 2014 - Philadelphia Fishing Crew!!

I had the pleasure of taking out some new friends of mine from Philadelphia......Derrick, Lou, Rick., and Derrick (again). These guys got into some great Lake Trout fishing this past Sunday. They are all very accomplished fisherman and were on the rods all day. We were fishing off the light house in about 100 - 115 feet of water. A good time was had by all especially me. Thanks guys.

July 12 & 13, 2014

July 12

We had a great weekend smallmouth BASS fishing again. We took out a group of anglers from the Bensalem Fishing Club and were able to get their limit of these not only great fighting fish...but great eating.

July 13

We worked for the Lots A Limits lodge and and also with Capt. Gene Bolton. One boat went out for Lakers ... we stuck it out with the bass and had a lot of action on a great blue bird day. Both days fish were in 12 - 17 feet of water hitting anything from soft shell crabs to Rattletraps.

Thanks guys!!
